About Discipleship Training Course (DTC)

The DTC aims to help students know God in depth and make Him known throughout the world. It seeks to infuse students with a passion for Jesus and missions. Many students go back to their daily lives after this training with a deeper relationship with God, more clarity in their life purpose, and a greater understanding of missions as it relates to their family life, church and profession. Others go on to complete the full five to nine month DTS (Discipleship Training School) program through YWAM.

About DTC NYC

Approximately twenty years ago, YWAM NJ was planted to bring revival and discipleship to the NY/NJ region with the intention of providing an abridged DTS curriculum to the older generation. In 2008, at the brink of the financial collapse on Wall Street, a group of DTS alumni were assembled to run the first DTC in order to reach and disciple English-speaking students, parents, and working professionals in the NYC region. In 2009, the first YWAM DTC course began, and has been running annually ever since.

Please note: YWAM DTC NYC is only an operational location at this time- there is no housing available. To be eligible to apply, students must be living in the tri-state area (NY/NJ/CT) by the start of the DTC. Immigration visa sponsorship is not available.
